Hello, my name is Kerri Licini. I have been working with children since I was 10 years old. Yes, in 1985 parents let a 10 year old babysit their kids. My nephew, who I helped raise, was born when I was 13. I started working at a Library School in the summer when I was 14.
I currently hold a Florida Director of Child Care and Education Certification, Board Certification in Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis, Master of Arts in Education with a Specialization in Cross-Categorical Special Education, Bachelor in Psychology, New Jersey Teacher of Special Education, Teacher of P-3, Teacher of K-5, and Teacher of Supplemental 6-8 Certifications.
I have been working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) since 2004. I am the Owner and Executive Director of Licini BCBA, Inc. (www.LiciniInc.com) for many years I have heard stories of parents with children diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders, ASD, getting frequent phone calls to pick their kids up from school because they engaged in a behavior that was not understood by the professionals at their current school. I have created the Differentiated Learning Center (DLC) for Multiple Intelligence to have a safe and nurturing environment where these children can learn hands on with movement and have a staff that is educated in special needs and mental health needs that will work through maladaptive behavior and not send the child home.
